Tony Potempa Is Out As GM/Executive Bar Chef At The Boarding House

tavernpark

This is a bummer.

Tony Potempa, who's been with The Boarding House since opening as general manager and executive bar chef, is no longer with the restaurant. He curated a promising cocktail menu before leaving, which included the delicious Red Wine Margarita made with Olmeca reposado tequila.

Here is what he had to say about his departure:

"Dear Facebook friends and family. I'd like to officially announce my departure from THE BOARDING HOUSE as General Manager and Executive Bar Chef.

"I am extremely proud of the Bar Program and all the hard work everyone put into it. On to the next adventure."

When I reached out for comment from the restaurant to find out whether he'd be replaced, here is what the publicist said:

"At this time, there aren't plans to hire anyone in place of Tony. (Owner) Alpana (singh) let us know that The Boarding House's team of talented bartenders will handle and continually develop the restaurant's cocktail program."

Such a shame. The cocktails were one of the highlights of my meal when I dined at the Boarding House! Keep us posted on where Tony ends up.
