STAGE BITES: The Weekly Dining & Drinking Guide
Stone Temple Pilots play The Riv on Saturday.
Every Monday look for the week's top performances paired with the best deals before and after the show:
The Twins Would Like To Say at Steppenwolf Theatre. A set of young Caribbean twins growing up in Wales set a pact to speak to no one but each other. Based on a true story that took place in the 1970s. Through April 25; this week 8 and 9:30pm Thursday, Friday. Get tickets here.
Boka: Located on the same block as the theater, this contemporary American resto is participating in Chicago Chef Week through Sunday. Three courses for $30 is the deal.
Landmark: There's always a scene at this clubby eatery, which is also part of Chicago Chef Week. Go before or after the show because the bar stays open until 2am.

Night of Sight and Sound with Saul Williams at Kinetic Playground. The acclaimed spoken-word artist—who memorably had every woman squirming in her seat with lust during a performance on Girlfriends—does a rare Chicago show. Get tickets here.
Demera: Dine messob, the traditional Ethiopian communal dining experience, in order to sample several items from the menu, including lamb, beef, chicken and salmon. Choose from vegetarian messob ($25.95 for six portions for two); meat massob ($28.95 for six portions for two); or family style so four to five people can chow down for only $14.50 per person.
The Green Mill: After the show, head to the legendary jazz spot known for showcasing traditional beats, including be-bop, straight-ahead and vocals. Open until 5am Saturdays.
Silver Seafood: You'll find mostly Chinese-speaking families at this old-school spot that's been around for awhile, which means that it's really good! There are about a thousand things on the menu, and everything's moderately priced.
The Green Mill is open until 5am Saturday, so it's ideal for a late-night rendezvous in Uptown.
Stone Temple Pilots at Riviera Theatre. STP's sixth studio album, "Stone Temple Pilots," is scheduled for release on May 25, so definitely expect them to play hit songs "Sex Type Thing," "Plush" and "Wicked Garden." Sold-out show.
Fat Cat: How many Mimosas can you drink?! They're on special for $4 here on Saturdays.
Fiesta Mexicana: Most items are under $10 at this Uptown fave, but we especially love the idea of Super Tacos in a double tortilla. Choose from chunks of pan-fried pork, grilled skirt steak, or steamed pot roast with guacamole and pico de gallo.
Marigold: Spicy signature cocktails and microbrews pair well with Naanwiches, an Indian take on classic American sandwiches. How about a Spiked Mango ‘Lassi, made with Marigold’s special Cardamom-infused vodka, Prosecco and mango nectar?!
