This is No April Fool's Joke . . .
Now that he's not in training I wonder if he'll actually eat this stuff.
Olympic gold medalist and speedskating star Shani Davis is the guest of honor at Morton's on Wacker, which just happens to be taking place on April Fool's Day.
Apparently, he'll be there schmoozing with fans and talking about his successful career as the first-ever African American to win gold in speedskating. They're calling it Lunch with a Legend, and ESPN 1000’s Waddle and Silvy will broadcast live from the restaurant's private dining room.
The menu, of course, includes Morton's legendary single-cut filet with mashed potatoes, a Caesar salad and chocolate mousse. It's $50 per person.
The menu definitely doesn't sound exciting, but I'm sure Davis will make up for that . . .
