STAGE BITES: The Weekly Dining & Drinking Guide

Every Monday look for the week's top performances paired with the best deals before and after the show:
CARNAVAL: The Dome of Doom at 437 N. Wolcott Ave. Collaboraction's phenomenally wild kickoff bash for the "Sketchbook" series includes live performances, dance battles, offbeat theatrics and more. 9pm April 17. Get tickets here.
Bar DeVille: Keep the high energy up by heading to this nearby corner lounge, which has made a name for itself for the classic cocktails and vintage, yet hipster, setting. Head to the rear for the old-school photobooth and billiards table.
Coalfire: The pizzas at this West Town eatery are created in Chicago's only coal fire. They're crisp, cheesy and highly recommended are the classic Margherita and the four-cheese pie made with mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan and Romano. Each pizza is made for two and under $20.
Twisted Spoke: Smut & Eggs is still going down at this legendary biker bar, offering diners soft porn with late-night brunch items. A number of egg dishes include steak and eggs, Wisconsin Scramble (with brats), Sloppy Eggs (with Sloppy Joe mix) and a fried-egg sandwich. Midnight-2:30am Saturdays.

King Sunny Ade and His African Beats at Old Town School of Folk Music in Lincoln Square. One of Nigeria's most prolific musicians performs two shows. 7, 10pm April 16. Get tickets here. The 7pm show is SOLD OUT.
Cafe Selmarie: You'll savor the wild mushroom ravioli ($13.75) right down to the last bite, especially the sage-brown butter sauce and toasted panko breadcrumbs. We also love the daily quiche special ($10.50) and sweet potato "fries" with chipotle dipping sauce ($4).
Tiny Lounge: After the show head here and ask for Tito's Hammock—a signature drink that's not on the menu. The vodka-based cocktail comes with crushed ice, thinly sliced lemons and limes, cucumber, and topped off with seltzer. Also great are seriously hand-crafted versions of The Hemingway and Pisco Sour.

TMI: A Hollywood Love Story at Gorilla Tango Theatre. The over-exposure of reality television is explored in this late-night production that will certainly get rowdy. Oh yeah, you can drink during the show. 11:30pm April 17. Get tickets here.
Belly Shack: The BYOB Asian spot serves up budget-friendly sandwiches like the tangy meatball, blackened tilapia, and lemongrass chicken with peanut and toasted coconut.
Irazu: Another BYOB is located down the street. This one offers delish Costa Rican fare that comes on heaving plates and complemented by rice and peas (if it's nice outside you can attempt to nab seats).
Margie's Candies: This old-fashioned ice cream parlor may have been around longer than anyone you know, but they can certainly whip up one mean Banana Split. Also, traditional Sundaes, rootbeer floats and homemade ice-cream sandwiches. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
