This weekend's dedicated to our fearless military men and women who fight hard for our country. We'd be lost without them!
We've got a nice, three-day weekend to show our support through various events, from Saturday's Memorial Day Parade to a number of fabulous parties. And because the weather's supposed to be incredibly nice all weekend, you'll definitely want to spend a lot of time outside.
Expect every restaurant with an outdoor component to be crowded like District in River North. They're hosting their first-ever Backyard BAR-b-que Sunday that includes a feast of all-you-can-eat burgers, hot dogs and grilled chicken for $20.
The bar's full-length windows open to the street, so you can take full advantage of the amazing weather. Guests will also get two drink tickets for booze or well drinks, and Acoustic Playback performs. The party happens 5-8pm Sunday.

Café des Architectes: Every Thursday on the terrace they're doing a yummy French Barbecue Night. A "grilladeur," or grill master, will be on hand to cook guests’ dinners before their eyes, which will include flat iron steak, Prime Delmonico, rack of lamb, herb marinated chicken, jumbo shrimp brochettes, Ahi tuna steak or a 10 oz. Prime New York steak. 5-11pm Thursdays.
D.O.C. Wine Bar: We absolutely adore their cute side-street patio, which is right off bustling Clark Street. Head here with your "Sex and the City 2" ticket stub and you'll get two-for-one Cosmos ($7) through Monday.
Epic Sky: The South Beach-esque rooftop lounge on top of the contemporary restaurant opens just in time for the holiday weekend. We're certain the two spacious cabanas will be some of the most coveted seats in the city this summer as guests drink signature cocktails like La Paloma (Don Julio Reposado tequlia, Pama liqueur, grapefruit juice, lime juice), Berry Ipanema (Absolut Berri Acai, Veev, Yellow Chartreuse, lemon) and Kentucky Smash (Maker's Mark, Grand Marnier, Maker's Drunken Berries, honey). Drinks $11-$12.
Japonais: The sexy, lower-level lounge transforms into one hot party Sunday. Get there early for the passed apps (9-10pm), and stay for beats by Jake Reno. If we were you, we'd try to nab cabanas right off Chicago River. 9pm-2am.

Mac’s American Pub: The laid-back neighborhood resto's got a brand-new sidewalk cafe and they want to show it off. The 18 seats on Division Street are prime people-watching nooks, plus they're doing a number of drink specials this weekend. Friday: $9 Bud Light pitchers; Saturday: $5 Mimosas; Sunday: $2 PBR pints, $3 Jameson shots, $5 bloody Marys. Deejays spin each night 10pm-2am.
Mad River: The boisterous bar is billing itself the "unofficial" after-party for the annual Belmont/Sheffield Music Festival. The Sunday night event includes $5 burgers, $5 Firecracker Bomb shots and $2 Budweisers.
Martini Park: Through July 9, girlfriends can chill out on the spectacular patio and order The Bombshell (tangerine juice, maraschino liqueur and Moet Imperial) and toast "Sex and the City 2." And each time you order a flute of Moet Imperial or Moet Rose, you'll have the chance to win a Bubble candle, bubble wine charm, paper cork or "Sex and the City 2" movie tickets.
Park 52: Vince Adams, one of the hardest working deejays in Chicago, spins his special brand of hip-hop, R&B and soul at this stylish soiree guaranteed to attract a sophisticated crowd. 10:30pm-3am Saturday. No cover, but an RSVP to dawn@park52chicago.com is strongly recommended.
Roof: And DJ Rock City shakes up theWit's popular rooftop lounge, which is another place you should hit as early as possible if you plan on going. 10pm-2am Saturday. No cover.
