BICE Returns; Introducing MEDI . . .

Looks like matters are finally coming together in the old BICE space in Streeterville, where MEDI is set to open in mid-September.
Sources tell 312DD exclusively that the upscale Italian eatery will flip its script for a more casual venue offering seasonal, Mediterranean Coast cuisine with entrees ranging $6-$10. Apparently it took them a while to figure out what was going to happen in this space because it's been shuttered since last winter.
To oversee the kitchen they've brought in longtime restaurant vet Mario Camia, who started his culinary career in 1970 in his hometown of Barolo, Italy. The well-regarded chef has won a number of awards and served a number of celebrity clientele, including the likes of Anthony Quinn, Robert De Niro, Antonio Banderas, Andy Garcia, Sylvester Stallone, Naomi Campbell, Martina Navitrolla, Bono, Bill Clinton, Billy Crystal, Joe Pesci, Al Pacino, Martin Scorsese, Shakira, Clint Eastwood, Kings of Arabia and the Abu Dhabi Sheikh.
Just a few blocks away in the Talbott Hotel, BICE Bistro is set to re-open in mid-October.
Here, they've expanded the grounds to accommodate more diners al fresco with what's certain to be the largest outdoor piazza in the city. Look for traditional and modern Italian dishes at wallet-friendly prices.
