Who Is 'America's Hottest Culinary Couple?!'
My vote for Chicago's "hottest culinary couple:" Allison and Rob Levitt of Mado. (Photo: Rob Levitt)
The search is on for America's Hottest Culinary Couple, and I think we've got a great contender right here at home.
Young and hip couple Rob and Allie Levitt of Wicker Park's Mado—who made Bon Appetit's list of best new restos of 2009—would most certainly crush the competition. What we absolutely adore about this wonderfully stylish wife-and-husband team is that they use only local and sustainable ingredients in all dishes.
Pyrex, an innovative culinary brand that's been around for 95 years, cooked up this fun competition to search for its first-ever "spokescouple."
Those interested are encouraged to enter the contest here with a brief video explaining why they deserve to win the title of America's Hottest Culinary Couple.
The last day for entries is August 16, and the top 10 semifinalist videos will be posted here from August 23-27, where the public can vote to choose the two finalists.
Finalists will compete in a celebrity-judged culinary challenge in New York in September. The winning couple will land a starring role in their own online cooking video series in 2010, plus receive $10,000 cash and $500 in Pyrex products.
