Emeril Lagasse on Wednesday taping "The Originals" at Twin Anchors. I'm gonna keep this short and sweet.
Famed chef and television personality
Emeril Lagasse was in town Wednesday afternoon taping his new restaurant-focused show for
The Cooking Channel. It's called
"The Originals," and one of my
Ultimate Insiders was lucky enough to be in attendance at the first taping at
Twin Anchors—the legendary Old Town barbecue joint.
You might agree or disagree with that honor, but the venue has been there since 1932. Rumor has it that
Al Capone used it as one of his "getaway" spots because of its many hidden tunnels.
There's no word yet on the air date, but it will be interesting to see exactly why Lagasse decided to use it . . .
