'Green City Market Chef's BBQ' Cocktails Revealed!

The restaurant lineup for the annual Green City Market Chef's BBQ is stellar as always, so I'm a bit surprised that it hasn't sold out yet.

It happens 5:30-8pm July 21, and to get you salivating, they've added a new site detailing all the cocktails you'll be drinking. This collection of eco-friendly sippers includes local produce and spirits that were created by some of the city's top bar stars.

Eric Hay, the beverage development manager of Wirtz Beverage Illinois, gathered the likes of Matty Eggleston (Perennial Virant), Benjamin Schiller (Boka Restaurant Group), Christine McQuaid (Watershed) and Luke LeFiles (Hot Chocolate) to put together some tasty, handcrafted delights.

What's certain to be a huge hit is the cocktail from Michael Page of Vie. His Hazes Field Punch features Death's Door vodka, Hibiscus tea and housemade cherry beet juice made with Klug Farm sour cherries.
