River North's runaway sugar-high hit Doughnut Vault has had a few copycats since opening earlier this year as a daily morning pop-up next to Gilt Bar, but no one has come even close to its deliciousness.
But Table Fifty-Two pastry chef Celeste "CeCe" Campise may finally give them some competition with her very own pastry pop-up just outside of Art Smith's superb Southern-focused eatery.

Beginning Saturday at 8am, Campise is set to debut Sweet Stand, which will be open throughout October every Saturday morning. She'll be pushing fresh doughnuts with house-made jams, Smith's signature Hummingbird cupcakes (banana-pineapple cake with cream cheese frosting) and hot coffee.
Prices are $1-$3 and it's cash only.
In related news, Magnolia Bakery—the famed New York sugar shop—also opens Saturday on Block 37.
