Dine & Drink For Pink
Do your part to help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by participating in the Lynn Sage Foundation's annual In Good Taste campaign.
You can choose from a list of more than 100 of Chicagoland's most-buzzed about restaurants, and donate at least $1 on your check. The promotion happens throughout October and you can see the entire list of participants here.
Here's what is also going down in October in support of breast cancer awareness:
Chicago Cut: Throughout the month, the sceney steakhouse will donate $4 from every lobster salad sold to the Lynn Sage Foundation.
Gemini Bistro: A portion of the proceeds from sales of the Pink Black Dog Gelato For The Cure trio benefit breast cancer awareness. You get Marachino Cherry Gelato, Red Plum Moscato Sorbet and Raspberry Lime Gelato for $7.
Lockwood: Sous Chef Val Benner has created a signature dish for the occasion; a Bahn Mi Sandwich ($12 going towards the Lynn Sage Foundation) with Wild Pacific Salmon, pickled bok choy and radish, fresh chilies, carrot and cucumber on a whole grain crostini, drizzled with a lemon herb olive oil. There's also a Pink Ribbon Martini, which is strawberry cheesecake inspired and made with Absolut Vanil. $12 goes towards the Lynn Sage Foundation.

Luxbar: The Gold Coast fave has partnered with Goose Island Brewery for Brews for Breast Cancer. All proceeds from the sale of Goose Island's 312 Urban Wheat Beer (offered at a special price of $3.12; normally $6) benefit the Lynn Sage Foundation. Customers can also buy pink ribbon buttons for $3.12, which will also benefit the organization.
Magnolia Bakery: For every Pink Ribbon Cupcake purchased in October, the new sweets shop will donate 50 cents to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. They are $3.75 each.
Rock Bottom Brewery: More beer's on tap in River North as Rock Bottom brewmaster Chris Rafferty debuts Wonderbrew, an American wheat beer conditioned with raspberries. The tapping party occurs 5:30-7pm Oct. 4 with samplings of the beer. Reps from Lynn Sage will be on hand collecting donations in exchange for pink ribbons as well as selling raffle tickets. The restaurant will donate $0.25 of every Wonderbrew purchased at $5.25 to the charity. The beer will be sold throughout October.
Roka Akor: They're doing three pink specialty cocktails throughout the month to remind us to think pink. Get excited now for the Pink Pomegranate Shochu, Pink Ribbon and Beat It. In addition to the cocktails, customers can order Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Brut for $20 by the glass or $80 per bottle. The restaurant will make a $5 contribution to the American Cancer Society for each glass sold and $20 for each bottle. Also throughout October, Roka Akor's doing a nightly silent auction for Omakase for two. The special chef-created menu is valued at $200, and all profits from the auctions also benefit the American Cancer Society. The minimum bid for the Omakase silent auctions is $100. Contact the restaurant here to participate.
