Looks Like We Were On To Something . . .

Remember back in early January when I wrote that it was high time for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises to look for new opportunities in Logan Square?!
According to Eater Chicago, the solid restaurant company's looking to the West Side for an upcoming venture, but just slightly east of the hip neighborhood:
"LEYE is reportedly working with Smithfield Properties to open two new restaurant concepts on Division Street. In September, Smithfield purchased the the 27,000 square foot L. Miller & Son Lumber Company (1815 W. Division) for $3.2 million and is hoping to raze the building to then erect a five-story glass and steel mixed-use building for commercial and residential purposes. LEYE is exploring the possibility of opening two restaurants on the street level, but seem to be in the very early stages since the greenlighting of the whole project is still pending zoning approval."
That's a ton of space to fill, but if anyone can do it and do it well, it would be LEYE. It would also bring even more traffic to the already bustling area.
They'll also be joining a bunch of successful spots on that strip, including Bangers & Lace, The Bedford, Moonshine, The Boundary, SmallBar and Enoteca Roma.
