So Very, Very Hot Right Now.

I should have known something was up when Juno partner Jason Chan gushed out of the blue Wednesday that Schwa owner/chef Michael Carlson stopped by his restaurant to drop off lunch for his staff. That certainly isn't in character of the elusive chef, so of course I was right on the money.

It turns out that Carlson and Chan most certainly were up to something because they're hosting a collaborative Omakase dinner in September that you don't want to miss. Juno's Chef BK and Carlson are cooking up something special and only 12 lucky freaking people will get to take advantage. Your best bet—if you want to get in on the action—is to "like" Juno's Facebook page and pay close attention in the next couple of weeks.

It's not every day you hear about female brewers. Rock Bottom Brewery not only boasts one of the few in town, but Hayley Shine is also an award-winning brewer who's new to the city. She's making a big splash on the scene with her first Chicago release—Summer Honey Ale, a well-balanced beer brewed with local honey. We recommend checking it out before it's gone.

And speaking of locally produced hooch, CH Distillery & Cocktail Bar finally opens in the West Loop on August 20. Our friends at Urban Daddy Chicago have the scoop, including photos and the food and drink menus.
