So Very, Very Hot Right Now.

The glamorous Pump Room celebrates 75 years in October, and throughout the month, guests get the opportunity to dine on some of the original dishes from the 1938 menu.
Chefs Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Moosah Reaume along with pastry chef Kady Yon executed modern twists on the classics, resulting in dishes such as the juicy and flavorful prime rib au jus with Yorkshire pudding, flaming roasted chicken en brochette, and tempura fantail shrimp with sweet and sour sauce.

The sweetest part of this throwback experience?! One lucky table per week is randomly selected to dine at the Pump Room's original prices. That's a check totaling $14 for four guests (no booze included). Think about it. There's one more week left in October!

It's supposed to be 52 degrees Sunday, so bundle up appropriately and head to the annual Andersonville Dessert Crawl. It goes down 2-5pm and participants choose from two routes: Candy Corn (13 spots, including the likes of Big Jones and Terry's Toffee) and Caramel Apple (also 13, including Hamburger Mary's and Vincent). It's $20 per person and you can get tix right here.
Local Root gets into the Halloween spirit with something they're calling the Double Layer Jack o' Lantern Cake. The kids can have their trick o treating while you indulge in this pumpkin mousse cake topped with spiced cream cheese frosting and pecans. It's served with homemade cinnamon ice cream.
