Former Cafe des Architectes Executive Chef Martial Noguier didn't travel far to snag his next gig.

In fact, it's literally half a block away from the Sofitel, where he oversaw the kitchen for a couple of years.

According to an Ultimate Insider, Eve—which served its last meal Jan. 2—has already been renamed Bistronomic with Noguier as its executive chef.

In a recent interview with Chicago Tribune restaurant critic Phil Vettel, former Eve owner Matt Fisher, who is also behind Bistronomic, indicated that he "plans to reconcept the space, presumably aiming for a lower check average."

No word, however, on the opening date or menu, but given Noguier's classically French trained background, we have an idea of where it's going.

Developing . . .

I hope whoever is overseeing the baguettes at Cafe des Architects sticks around because that baguette was one of the best pieces of bread I had in 2010!
