The Bedford's Location Revealed

Sooooo, information is slowly leaking out about Mark Steuer's new Wicker Park project, The Bedford, which we were the first to tell you about in January.

The location is at 1612 W. Division St., in an old bank building, and it's set to open in mid-April. From what we understand, it's well on its way to being finished and if all goes well with the city, they should be opening on time.

The Twitter profile for The Bedford offers a few details as well: "The Bedford is a neighborhood kitchen and bar. Serving elevated Midwestern fare with a carefully crafted cocktail list, locally sourced beer and boutique wines."

Additionally, Steuer, who formerly worked at The Gage and Hot Chocolate, has teamed up with Peter Gugni, who was the former general manager at the now-shuttered Le Passage.

Gugni recently returned from working at San Francisco's high-profile culinary cocktail lounge, Cantina.

Cannot wait!

Ooh must be the the bank on the corner of Division and Ashland? I LOVE that building. So classic. I'm a little bummed a CVS is going in because the architecture is so stunning. (But then again, I am happy to have a neighborhood drug store as that's about the only thing we've been missing and the Jewel/Osco is a bit too far for me.)

I live down the street and just asked the valet for a menu for future reference. He gave me a snooty look and told me they didn't have carry out and didn't just hand out menus to anyone. What? A businessman in a tie isn't worthy of The Bedford?
