Join in on the Wedding Festivities . . .

Photobucket

. . . at a number of local spots hosting viewing parties, fashion shows, traditional/contemporary tea and more in honor of Will & Kate:

Blokes & Birds: They had me at Pimm's Cups, which the Lakeview lounge will be offering for $6 during a post-wedding viewing party if you don't get up at the crack of dawn to turn on the tube. Televisions will be tuned in all over the bar, and you'll also get comped cucumber sandwiches, half-pints of Wells Bombardier for $3, and all-you-can-eat fish & chips for $10. 5pm-2am Friday.

Chalkboard: You can stay in the spirit all weekend long at the North Center resto's brand new afternoon tea service. It includes a personal pot of tea, finger sandwiches, pastries, and scones with Devonshire cream and organic fruit spread. $19 (add $8 for sparkling wine; $15 for Champagne). Saturdays, Sundays 2-4pm.

Four Seasons: This is what you call a high-fashion tea, and we're not one bit surprised seeing that it's at the ultra-glam Four Seasons. Crumpets and Couture includes fashion shows by Karen Millen and L.K.Bennett, a champagne toast to the newlyweds, and an English-inspired tea menu. That's prepared by Exec Chef Kevin Hickey—who clocked time on the culinary team at Four Seasons London Canary Wharf. Those who missed out on watching the wedding live will have a chance to catch it on large flatscreens. 3pm Friday. $55. Reservations highly recommended.

Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club: This lively Lakeview restaurant features seven jumbo flatscreens showing the taped wedding and "Queen Diva" Kathryn Cole performing. A special, $30 three-course menu includes the Put A Ring On It cocktail (Effen Black Cherry Vodka and St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur topped with a splash of champagne and garnished with a candy ring sucker), bangers & mash, and Shepherd's pie. 7pm Friday.

Lobby Lounge at ShowPlace Icon Theatre: From noon on, the stylish movie bar anticipates turning into royal wedding madness with the festivities shown on five 50-inch screens. There's also a special $12 cocktail, The Royal Wedding, made of grape-infused vodka blended with Moscato and garnished with purple grapes. Noon-until Friday.

Lockwood: And if you're one of the loyal royal watchers determined to catch the wedding in its prime time glory, Lockwood at the Palmer House Hilton will be waiting for you. That's right, tea service begins at 5am in the lobby and the televisions will be on full blast until 2pm. Service includes classic finger sandwiches, desserts, fine teas and Champagne. $45 and reservations are strongly recommended.

NOTE: For additional Royal Wedding Coverage, catch 312DD live at 6 & 7am Friday on WCIU-TV's You & Me This Morning, which I'll be co-hosting with Jeanne Sparrow and Aleah Connect!
