Old Town Social Chef Kicks Off 'Meet The Market'

So, this is pretty sweet.

Old Town Social's super star chef Jared Van Camp is on Green City Market's brand new junior board and he's kicking off the season (which begins today, by the way) with an awesome event series.

Meet The Market is an opportunity for farmers market fans to meet the actual farmers in a social setting. The first event goes down at OTS with farmer Mick Klug as the special guest.

Van Camp will whip up a few complimentary passed apps featuring Klug produce, including ham and asparagus spears with housemade country ham and goat cheese biscuits with Klug strawberry-pinot noir jam.

And $2 from the night's special $10 cocktails—Fraise Sauvage (Death's Door Gin, Mick Klug Farms strawberries and Champagne) and Peach Smash (Death's Door white whiskey, Mick Klug Farms peach jam, fresh ginger and mint)—go to support the junior board's efforts.

The first Meet The Market happens 6-8pm May 12.
