Rodman Celebrates Bday, Bulls Player Misbehaves at Aviary

How did former Bulls star Dennis Rodman spend his 50th birthday?!

As part of the weekend celebration (His actual bday was May 13), he took in the Bulls/Heat game at United Center Sunday, then kicked it to the stage of Stanley's for live band karaoke.

My source tells me George Clinton's "We Got The Funk" and James Brown's "I Feel Good" were songs he so boldly took on . . . and for the most part he behaved. . .

And speaking of misbehaving . . . Grant Achatz tweeted late Sunday that a current Bulls player and his entourage stopped into hot new cocktail lounge Aviary after the game, demanding "special" treatment:

"NBA Bulls player comes into Aviary and says: 'Clear these cocktails off the table and give us vodka and seltzer water.' We say no, they leave."

WTF. WTF. WTF was this lame baller who should have obviously celebrated his big win at a sports bar instead?!

I'm glad Grant had the integrity to respect his establishment and other patrons. I know where I'm getting my next cocktail!

Nice photo by Jurecki!

Being rude never pays off. Had they graciously asked for vodka and seltzer--without the sense of entitlement--I'm sure Grant & staff would have taken the time to explain to them exactly what type of establishment The Aviary is. But in this situation the simple "no" was sufficient. They got exactly what they deserved.

I'm sure Grant wants to continue a sort or integrity that these players are not used to. Grant does not want The Aviary to turn into a Party Bar.
