Think of it as Make-A-Wish for foodies.

Prominent Chicago chefs Rodelio Aglibot (formerly of Sunda and BLT Restaurant Group) and Todd Stein (Florentine) have gathered some of their chef friends to create In Chef's Hands.

They're pairing the likes of James Gottwald (Rockit Ranch Productions), Patricio Sandoval (Mercadito), Jared Van Camp (Old Town Social), Mark Sparacino (Prosecco), Radhika Desai (formerly of English, Top Chef: New York), Russell Kook (Florentine, Hell's Kitchen), John Manion (formerly of Branch 27), Valerie Bolon (Culinary Speakeasy, Top Chef: Chicago) and others with foodies who have special needs. Each chef will be paired with each person for a one-on-one experience.

A kickoff event with bites and booze goes down 6-8pm June 14 at Old Town Social. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased right here.

Another chef-focused soiree is the annual Chefs and the City, happening at the Ritz Carlton on July 15.

The event raises funds to help those impacted by AIDS/HIV and features a number of high-profile culinary kings and queens. Be on the lookout for the likes of Paul Virant (Perennial Virant), Giuseppe Tentori (Boka, GT Fish & Oyster), Patty Rothman (More), Erick Williams (MK) and Kendal Duque (Chicago Firehouse).
