Where You Should Be Dining . . . NOW

It might be the dead of winter in Chicago, but that's not stopping a number of restaurants from opening this month and in February.

So I stopped by The U's You & Me This Morning to rap with host Jeanne Sparrow about some of the most anticipated new spots, including red-hot Tavernita in River North and the sexy Storefront Company in Bucktown/Wicker Park.

But wait, there's more!

I dig deeper into the small-plates trend in my monthly column on DiningChicago.com. Northwest newcomer Bread & Wine is guaranteed to grab attention for its delightfully decadent duck confit pierogi.

And new Pops For Champagne chef Luke Creagan has completely revamped the menu to reflect his fondness of Moroccan, French and Italian cuisine. Get excited about slow-cooked octopus, lotus root "nachos" dusted with jalapenos, and chorizo hash tots drizzled in candied and sour orange sauces.
