Hubbard Inn Has Been Sold

I received a tip earlier this week regarding the fate of ambitious River North cocktail lounge Hubbard Inn.

Apparently there are rumors that the team behind the bar as well as Barn & Company, Black Bull, English and LaSalle Power Co. sold everything last month.

"This is not true," says one of the principals, David Mitria.

"We did sell out of Hubbard Inn ONLY in an offer we could not refuse," he tells 312DD exclusively. "(We) still own all (the other) buildings and businesses: English/Barn & Co./Black Bull. We are also working on new projects."

He added that the new owners include a small investor who also owns Casey Moran's, Deuce's and The Diamond Club and a "couple other Chicago staple neighborhood bars."
