Watch Out, Guys, It's Baaaaaack!

"SATC 2" doesn’t hit theaters until May 27, but the partying gets underway this weekend.

That's when women all over town shimmy into their slinkiest dresses, match those up with the hottest handbags and sashay all over town in skyscraper stilettos.

One of the events they'll be heading to is a gratis wine tasting party, "SATC"-style, at Randolph Wine Cellars. From 2-6pm Saturday, the wine will pour freely and apps will be passed.

Guests are encouraged to keep the party going next door at The Tasting Room, where wine director Nick Luedde has created signature flights to represent each character from the cast. You can order The Carrie, The Charlotte, The Miranda or The Samantha and pair them with small bites from the new spring menu. All wine flights are $30, and will be available through May 27.

It's time to get Carried Away with even more "SATC"-themed soirees:

THURSDAY

IMAGE magazine hosts a fashion show that should bring out a pretty spicy crowd. Held at the sparkling new Mercedes Benz Showroom (1520 W. North Ave.), the party benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Your $50 ticket gets you three hours open bar, apps, live music and a shot at the Blackjack tables. Or, if you spring for the $150 tix, you'll get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a C Series Mercedes Benz. 7-10pm. After-party goes down at Y Bar until 2am.

Brunch like the fabulous foursome at Mercat a la Planxa this weekend.

FRIDAY

The Stilettos & Sneakers Ball at Le Passage sounds like waaaay too much fun! Guests are encouraged to strut their stuff in their hottest stits and sneakers as they support the ASAP Foundation from 8-10pm. Deejays Trentino, Rush and M Pathogan spin until 4am.

SUNDAY

The fabulous new brunch at Mercat a la Planxa is perfect for a group of girlfriends. For $25 each, you'll get to choose five tapas from 30 choices (ex. seafood croquettes, Spanish omelets, fried peppers). It's accompanied by "bottomless" specialty sippers and sangria. 11am-3pm Saturday, Sunday.

Did you get tix to the Andersonville Wine Walk?! Hosted by In Fine Spirits, the event is now sold out. Oh well, if you did manage to snag tickets to it, look forward to strolling along the hottest areas in Andersonville to sample wine. Included on route are Hamburger Mary's, Urbanest, and Women and Children First. 2-5pm.

A number of cocktail parties will give you and your girls a chance to blow off some steam like Carrie and Co.

MAY 17

They're celebrating the big four at Frasca Pizza and Wine Bar. Whoops, that would be a four-year anniversary—not Carrie and Co. Nevertheless, it's an ideal event for the pals as they're doing a $4 food and drink menu that includes bubbly, pizza and appetizers. Guests will also get half-price on bottles of wine, which happens every Monday.

MAY 20

DNA 2050 (900 N. Michigan Ave.) is hosting a party you won't be able to resist. Not only will the specialty denim shop dole out complimentary Cosmos and Champagne, but also offer $25 off on all denim purchases that evening. The first 10 customers who make purchases will also get free passes to see "SATC 2." Denim lines include J Brand, William Rast, True Religion, 7 for all Mankind, Joe’s Jeans and Genetic Denim. 6-8pm.

You might want to leave the stilettos and fancy dresses at home for this one: It's Girls' Night: International Delight at Wooden Spoon. Chef Scott Allred will instruct a roomful of women as they prepare French baked goat cheese with tomato sauce; Thai crispy noodle cakes with Hoisin chicken; Latino chili corn custard squares; and pizza with Fontina and potatoes. Oh, and you'll be whipping up batches of sangria, too. It's BYOB. 6:30pm. $65.

We're not surprised one bit that Kit Kat is transforming its supper club setting into a World of Arabia theme to get guests in the mood for "SATC 2." They'll also have live entertainment, including belly dancers and Liza Minnelli impersonator. Themed drink specials will include the Abu Dhabi Martini (a spicy blend of vodka, Frangelico and a dash of nutmeg with a cinnamon rim) and the decadent Manolo Martini (vodka, St. Germain, lychee juice, pear juice and Moet Chandon Champagne, garnished with lychee fruit). Episodes of "Sex and the City" and the first "SATC" film will air on several monitors, and a few lucky guests will win free passes to "SATC 2." 5:30pm-2am.

MAY 27

The movie finally launches! Wildfire hosts a pre-party—before you head over to the theater—which includes the signature Wild Raspberry Cosmo ($7) and complimentary passed apps of fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil whole wheat pizza and roasted vegetable quesadillas. 5-7pm.

MAY 28

And a limited number of tickets are available for a swanky cocktail party taking place at WineStyles South Loop. The $30 price tag includes wine, light fare, live music and a ticket to the 9:15pm "SATC 2" show at ShowPlace ICON. 7-10pm.
