Sky-High Event at Signature Room

Photobucket
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will rock the 52nd annual "Chicago Air & Water Show" for three days this weekend.

This is certain to be the very best view in the city for the annual Air & Water Show this weekend, and we cannot believe The Signature Room has never done this before:

The restaurant atop the John Hancock Building hosts an all-day affair that includes an open bar and all-you-can-eat buffet created by Executive Chef Patrick Sheerin.

Here's what to expect on the menu:

Fried Chicken

Assorted sandwiches

Potato salad, pan con tomato and baked beans

Grilled vegetable display

Mediterranean dips and flatbreads

Rye and smoked salmon

Eggs Benedict

Assorted fresh fruit

Sausage and peppers

Market squash frittata

The Air & Water Show event happens 11am-4pm August 14-15. $100 per person; reservations required and seating is limited.

I agree this would be the best view in the city--in the air alongside the Blue Angels! Fun! Patrick's menu sounds cool too. Should be a good time.

I caught this in Detroit while I was out of town a few years ago and it was amazing. I wish I didn't already have plans this weekend. It's definitely something I would want to see again.
