Fade To Black . . .

Photobucket

. . . on Wednesday.

That's the most awesome-est party night of the year, officially kicking the holiday season in full swing:

The $30 price tag may seem a bit steep for a pre-Thanksgiving Day party at Brownstone Tavern and Grill, but if you go anywhere else you're gonna wind up spending even more. The deal includes all drafts, call cocktails and house wines. Bring two canned goods for Northcenter's Benedict's Pantry and you'll only have to pay $20. 9pm-midnight.

I'm constantly complaining about the lack of authentic dance parties, so I'm pretty thrilled about the 3 Degrees Reunion going down at Double Door. The original guys behind the hip, underground music party will be together for the first time in eight years. Also, live music by Elev8tor, Bryan Ford and Goulet. 8pm-2am. Free (and no bottle service!).

DJ Madrid spins this sexy upstairs set at Le Colonial. The Shades of Grey party includes $6 sparkling wine cocktails and appetizers. 7pm-2am. Free.

Hopefully there will be plenty of room for you at Three Aces, in Little Italy, as they throw down with a psychedelic rock-style soiree. Live music and neat food specials like pumpkin doughnuts and beet-and-bacon hash should whet your appetite. Oh, and let's not forget the $2 PBR and $2 Old Crow Whiskey shots. 10pm-2am. Free.

And you can take home a free turkey for Thanksgiving dinner at Timothy O'Toole's Pub if you win the turkey testicle eating contest. Yeah, you heard that right. If that's too much for you, jump aboard the pumpkin eating contest and win a $50 bar tab. Drink specials: $4 Jameson shots as well as $2 Miller Light and Coors Light pints. All customers get a $10 voucher for a cab ride home. Festivities start at 9pm.
