The Great Food Truck Race is currently in its second season on Food Network, but producers are already looking for participants for the third season.
No one's more excited about that news in Chicago than The Southern's chef Cary Taylor and owner James Lasky, who just might get a chance to compete.
The Southern Mac & Cheese Truck is the only local mobile resto in the running, and they've been campaigning pretty hard in the last week. You can cast your vote for them right here through Sept. 12.
In related news, they're also working on opening a brick-and-mortar location for Southern Mac & Cheese in the Loop. No address has been disclosed yet, but Lasky says he's looking to debut it in mid-September.
