Attack of the Mac . . . & Cheese

Relish in these next few days as we experience record highs outside, but since I'm not a weather-girl, I'm going to stick to what I really know.
March just happens to be National Noodle Month, and there's a whole lotta celebrating going on.
We, in fact, started over the weekend on the weekly G-Spot Radio Show, when I talked about my favorite spots in Chicago serving mac 'n' cheese. (See below as well.)
The Southern Mac & Cheese Store dropped by the station with a variety of choices, from Mexican chorizo and white truffle to BBQ beef brisket and sun-dried tomatoes & caramelized onions, proving that mac 'n' cheese is no longer a side dish. We also discussed the mix 'n' match options at Kuma's and a gooey, three-cheese selection at Table Fifty-Two.
Coincidentally, this week Rockit Bar & Grill chef Amanda Downing's doing her third-annual Mac Madness at the River North and Wrigleyville locations.
That means it's time to dig into memorable and hearty portions of foie gras-, cheeseburger-, truffle- and Buffalo lobster-infused mac 'n' cheese. Call the restaurants to find out exactly when and what they're serving.
