Here is some very sad and shocking news I just received in my inbox:
"Thank you to all of our loyal customers, it has been a great seven years. We are so honored to have been a part of so many of your celebrations - from making your birthday and weddings cakes to sending out your holiday gift baskets and pouring your morning coffee. We feel fortunate to have been a part of your lives.
"As you know, the building we are currently in on Oak Street is coming down at the beginning of August. Our planned new space did not work out, and after much consideration, I have decided to close the retail stores and pursue other food industry opportunities. While there are many things I will miss, I am very excited about moving forward and grateful for the wonderful friendships I have made through Sarah's Pastries & Candies.
"Our last day at our Macy's location will be July 28th and the last day at Oak Street will be July 31st. Our final delivery of wedding cakes will be August 12th."
