Moto Chef Wants To Grow $1,000 Truffles In-House

French Perigord Truffle.

This is kind of sweet and decadent, and if Moto can pull this off, it will take the West Loop restaurant to a different level.

From chef/owner Homaro Cantu:

"Today's crazy idea of the day! Let's start growing our own in house French Perigord Truffles. Why not? They cost $1,000 per pound and we have an indoor farm that can create the perfect growing conditions. ... My truffles will taste good all year round. ...
