So, this was pretty cool.

To kick off a celebration of Chicago's music heritage through December, MasterCard recently hosted a couple of Rock your Palate pop-up dinners featuring chefs Sarah Grueneberg (Spiaggia), Giuseppe Tentori (Boka/GT Fish & Oyster) and Dirk Flanigan (The Gage/Henri) at Lincoln Park's Floating World Gallery.

The toques were charged with whipping up dishes set to soundtracks and paired with cocktails and wine. Some of my favorites—which I hope will find their way on these guys' menus soon—included Tentori's lobster bruschetta with avocado and grapefruit; Grueneberg's bourbon-braised lamb shoulder with ham hocks, baby mustard greens and yellow polenta; and Flanigan's venison loin with mustard greens, corn, Hen of the Woods and huckleberry.

More of MasterCard's dining-focused events can be found right here.

Perfect trifecta of art, music and food. Was Guiseppe at the Thursday date? Friday's event met the portrait photographer, loved the space. Wish I could have stayed to dance and get a photo with the chefs. Thank you to all who created the event success.

Correct! He was there Thursday and it was fantastic. I heard Friday was just as good; had a few folks in the house. Glad you enjoyed!
