Sepia head mixologist Josh Pearson was pretty frank when he exclaimed, "(Here's a) list of places to call first if I ever go missing!"
He was, of course, referring to the latest awesome guide from Serious Eats Chicago. This time around the editors tracked down some of the city's top 'tenders to find out where they go drinking when they're off the clock.
Pearson, who resides on the city's Far North Side, ticked off some of his favorite neighborhood hangs, including the likes of Hopleaf, Spyners Pub and Tiny Lounge.
"Tiny Lounge in Lincoln Square is definitely my favorite place to go and drink wine," Pearson tells SE. "It's a small list but very well curated, and the glass pours are always interesting and delicious."
Also interviewed were Alex Bachman (Yusho), Lynn House (Blackbird), Ben Fasman (Big Star) and Stephen Cole (The Barrelhouse Flat).
Check it out. It's a good read and will give you some ideas for your next drinking adventure!
