Big Star vs. Perennial Virant!

Even more big news for Big Star.

The red-hot taco spot's going head-to-head with Perennial Virant this month in Franks 'n' Dawgs' Iron Dawg Competition. Each restaurant's executive chef has created a signature hot dog, and the one that sells best wins bragging rights.

Big Star's Justin Large should get a large following for his Mexican-inspired Justin Cased of roasted poblano, quesadilla cheese pork sausage, pickled vegetables, chicharrones and avocado mousse.

And Perennial's Paul Virant has whipped up something quite special with his Perennially Pork. It's made of garlic savory pork sausage, cilantro crème fraiche fermented habanero relish, cilantro and sliced red onions.

Both sound great, are $9.50 and available throughout November.
