Two tasty events benefiting great causes are coming your way.

The Steppenwolf's Auxiliary Council hosts the annual Red or White Ball at Architectural Artifacts (4325 N. Ravenswood Ave.) Friday.

Guests who spring for the VIP reception (7:30-8:30pm) get to sample signature bites from the likes of Jean Tippenhauer (Fred's at Barney's New York), Tim Graham (Paris Club), Moosah Reaume (The Pump Room) and Kate Milashus (ZED 451). Barrelhouse Flat owner/mixologist Stephen Cole will be on hand to pour cocktails.

At 8pm, the doors open to the general public, who will be treated to an open bar, food, a silent auction, live music and a late-night visit from Wagyu Wagon. Kathryn Erbe, a Steppenwolf ensemble member and star of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, will be there to mingle with guests.

Tickets are $250 (VIP) and $135, and can be purchased right here.

You also don't want to miss Bottomless Closet's Design & Conquer party, happening April 24 at Carnivale.

They'll have trunk shows by Project Runway contestants Michael Drummond and Peach Carr, plus a silent auction and spa treatments from Asha.

In addition to Carnivale providing the eats, The Pump Room's Raymon Blanchard as well as chefs Mitsu Nozaki (Urban Union) and Rodney Staton (The Ogden) will serve special dishes.

It's $80 in advance; $100 at the door. Tickets may be purchased here.
