Hail to the Chef . . .

The second-annual Chicago Restaurant Week kicks off Feb. 20, but there's yet another dining-related extravanganza certain to drive foodies in a frenzy.

The first-ever Chicago Chef Week, happening Feb. 22-27, showcases some of the most recognized culinary stars in the city, such as Paul Virant (2007 Food & Wine Best New Chef, Vie), Shawn McClain (2006 James Beard Best Chef Midwest, Spring) and Randy Zweiban [Best New Restaurant (Nacional 27), Chicago Magazine, 1998], now owner/chef of Province.

Each restaurant offers a three-course, prix-fixe dinner menu for $32, and Blackbird, Hub 51, Province and Sepia will also have a three-course, prix fixe lunch menu for $22.
