Girl & The Goat Executive Chef Stephanie Izard sent foodies into a frenzy Tuesday when she posted that she was giving away 1,000 Goat Buttons as a promotion for the opening of her new gastropub.

Not only will these little knickknacks be cool keepsakes once the resto gets going, but if you're lucky enough to snag one you could gain entry into one of the "friends and family" dinners happening right before it officially opens in June.

Think of each button as a raffle ticket. Each one comes with a special number, and Izard will be drawing 25 of those lucky button holders. Each winner will get to bring a guest to dinner.

There are several ways to get your hands on an official "goat" button:

Green City Market: Meet and greet Stephanie Izard at 11:30am May 15. She'll be giving away buttons and food samples.

Rootstock: Order a local beer at Izard's favorite beer spot May 15-22, and nab a button.

Pops for Champagne: Yours Truly will be at the weekly Shift Drinks industry event 10pm-midnight May 17. I'll have FIFTY buttons to hand out to those who find me and say 312DD. Guest bartenders for the event are Carl Galvan (Supreme Lobster) and Rodrick Markus (Rare Tea Cellar), who will be shaking up signature cocktails for charity.

61st Street Market: Izard will be accompanied by Common Threads kids for a cooking demo. 11:30am May 22.

Winners will be announced May 24 on Izard's blog.

Good Luck!
