You know Lawry's best as that spot you go to for business dinners and family gatherings. It's had that rap for a long time (37 years to be exact), but now the iconic prime rib restaurant is working on loosening up its image.

They're hoping to do so with the launch of the Evening Ale & Sandwich Bar, which happens daily (Saturday at 4:30pm; Sunday at 3:30pm) with a casual menu of sandwiches, bar snacks, appetizers, charcuterie and local cheeses. They've also expanded the beverage menu to include cocktails, local beers and even the Lawry's Signature Brown Gown Ale on tap.

The menu looks pretty promising, and you might want to check it out if you're shopping along the Mag Mile this summer. Here are the highlights:

Bites

Risotto Croquettes filled with jalapeño, saffron, tarragon and cheddar (served with artichoke aioli)
Crab Croquettes (served with remoulade)
Empanadillas filled with Swiss chard, goat cheese and pine nuts (served with chimichurri sauce)
Beer Pretzels (served with hot honey mustard)
Olives: Picholine green or Provencal black

Sandwiches

Prime Rib Sandwich, au jus with whipped cream horseradish
Pastrami Panini with horseradish havarti and sauerkraut
Turkey Panini with Italico cheese and celery root slaw
BBQ Beef Sliders (three) with giardiniera

Charcuterie (From Salumeria, New Jersey)
