My girls Jeanne Sparrow and Melissa Forman—anchors of WCIU-TV's You & Me This Morning—are always on a roll, but this time they're doing it for a great cause.

They're taking part in RA Sushi's first-ever Wake Up Little Sushi contest, where they're charged with creating a signature roll to raise money for their favorite charity.

Taking place at the Gold Coast location, the event happens 7-9pm Oct. 19, and pits them against other local morning anchors. The signature rolls will be prepared by RA's expert sushi chef, then sampled and judged by a panel of local media personalities and the crowd in attendance.

Each roll will be judged on name, ingredients, presentation and taste. The winning roll will be featured Nov. 1-15 at all three Chicagoland RA Sushi locations, and a portion of the proceeds generated from the sale of the roll will benefit the winner's charity.

Sparrow and Forman have partnered with Gordie's Foundation, a charity offering crime prevention and intervention strategies for individuals in the form of vocational training to promote a productive lifestyle change.

They're competing against Zoraida Sambolin (NBC5 News Today), who is partnered with Easter Seals; Valerie Warner (ABC's Windy City Live), repping Annie's Legacy; and Linda Yu (ABC-7's 11am, 4pm broadcasts), who's partnered with Chinese American Service League.
