Bleeding Heart Now Offering Cocktails, Dinner

The new Bleeding Heart Bakery & Cafe's ambitious concept of staying open 57 straight hours 7am Friday-4pm Sunday didn't quite take off, so they've made a few changes.

One of the reasons, according to one of the late-night servers, is because too many dishes felt like breakfast items. On a recent Friday night visit, there were eggs in almost everything, including the fish tacos. The dining room at the West Town spot was also empty.

So the diner menu has been completely revamped and the weekend hours have been cut back 7am-11pm Friday and Saturday.

Here's the newly released menu that's full of dinner-focused items, plus they've added a Mimosa and Bloody Mary to the previously non-alcoholic beverage list.

Creamy Chicken Soup with soppy bread

Seasonal Soup (right now it's corn chowder)

Kung Fu Chicken Salad (crispy Napa cabbage and romaine lettuce tossed with fresh herbs, peppers, and carrots in sesame peanut vinaigrette with shredded chicken)

Warm Spinach Salad (spinach leaves lightly sautéed with red onions and bacon in a green goddess dressing. Topped with two poached eggs)

Neato Mosquito Sandwich (smoked jalapeños and BBQ tofu on a potato roll. Served with French fries)

Tuna Michi Sandwich (Ahi tuna salad with bacon, lettuce, and tomato on toasted brioche. Served with French fries)

Name This Sandwich (spinach, sprouts, tomato jam, bacon, and green goddess dressing on toasted brioche. Served with French fries)

Roscoe Village Burger (beef and pork patty, country ham, deep fried sour cream, cucumber and roasted vanilla bean pineapple relish, queso fresco, and cilantro aioli on a cayenne pepper and pineapple juice abetted potato roll. Served with French fries)

West Town Burger (two 5oz beef patties topped with crispy pork belly, bacon hollandaise, tomato jam, and crispy spinach and crispy arugula on a potato roll. Served with French fries)

Cheese Burger (5oz beef patty with your choice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion on a potato roll. Served with French fries)

4-Piece Fried Chicken (with smashed potatoes and country gravy)

Chicken Pot Pie (seasonal vegetables, shredded chicken, and pastry crust)
