Hey, kids! Christmas came early this year!

That's because on Dec. 15 Roots Handmade Pizza will introduce Lillie's Q BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza. Woot?!

The ingredients on this masterpiece are off the hook: Lillie's Q's award-winning pulled pork is smoked over peach wood for eight hours, then Lillie's Q's Hot Smoky sauce is folded under the cheese with Lillie's Q's Carolina Dirt rub and a bit of coleslaw sprinkled on top. Get the 12-inch pie for $22; 16 inches is $27.

Want a free taste?!

Head to Roots on Dec. 14 at 10pm and get some at the bar—but don't just show up looking for free food. This deal is for paying customers only.

On the flip side, Lillie's Q now serves the house-made root beer from Roots Pizza. It's on tap for $3, and you can get free refills. We almost overdosed on this stuff the last time we were at Roots because it's that good. There's also the Roots Root Beer Float of house-made vanilla ice cream (and vanilla moonshine for an extra $5).

And finally, look for the Roots guys to hop aboard the Lillie's Q Meat Mobile on Dec. 15 when the food truck makes its run to 321 S. Wacker Dr. around 11:30am.

Hungry lunch-goers get to choose from a selection of Roots' mini calzones (sausage & cheese; ham & cheese; spinach, roasted red pepper & artichoke; broccoli & cheddar) served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. They're $3 each.
