Chicago Gourmet Introduces 'Hamburger Hop'

If you're still not convinced to buy a ticket for the annual Chicago Gourmet festival, this may give you mad motivation.

They've just announced the first-ever Hamburger Hop, where 15 area chefs will compete against one another with their versions of the American classic. Of course, you'll get to sample each burger, paired with beer from MillerCoors' Blue Moon.

The spirited showdown goes down 6-9pm Sept. 24 at the Harris Theatre Rooftop in Millennium Park. Celebrity chefs Cat Cora (Bon App├ętit) and Art Smith (Table Fifty-Two) host, but no word yet on who's in on the competition.

Tickets are $75 and are available here. A portion of the proceeds from a raffle during the event will benefit the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (IRAEF), the official charity partner of Chicago Gourmet.
