Freebies . . . on Friday . . .

Photobucket
It's "Oyster Fest" at Tavern on Rush through March 13.

Low on cash, but got an appetite for the good life?! Every Friday, 312DD features the best bargain bets around town:

Don't you always feel less guilty about pigging out after a great workout?! Burn some calories first at the brand-new 6pm Friday spin class at Go Cycle, then chill out with a great deal at next-door neighbor Old Town Social. Pick up a certificate at the studio for a comp glass of Prosecco or pint of Three Floyds Pride beer as well as a half-price appetizer. Fridays only; first-time Go Cycle students get first class free.

Also, Oyster Fest is today through March 13 at Tavern on Rush! The shellfish come freshly shucked for a buck. Or, you can also get them cornmeal battered and deep-fried, Rockefeller or shooter-style for $2.

Every Friday at Sushi Samba rio is Samba Hour, and what perfect timing since this weekend is Brazilian Carnival. Pair $20 pitchers of sangria, mojitos or caipirinhas with $5 apps of organic Robata chicken, duck croquettes, Yellowtail taquitos or spicy tuna rolls. 4-6pm or 11pm-close Fridays.

And up in Andersonville, it's that time again to make your way to In Fine Spirits. Every first Friday of the month you can count on some serious tastings of craft brews, wines and spirits from experts. 6-8pm.

Marc Forgione will be in Chicago on 3/8 and he has a really interesting BBQ Oyster! You can find him at the Macy's State Street Demo Kitchen.
