This Is Every Girl's Fantasy: The First-Ever 'Chicago Chocolate Week' Is On Its Way!

This year we've indulged in Chicago Restaurant Week, Chicago Craft Beer Week and most recently Chicago Craft Spirits Week, so this next big event makes absolute sense.

When the Chicago Fine Chocolate Festival happens again in November, it's adding a new component: the first-ever Chicago Chocolate Week. That's when a number of high-profile restaurants showcase signature desserts Nov. 11-18, with 10 percent of sales benefiting Share Our Strength.

Here's who is on board thus far:

Aria

Flourless Chocolate Banana Cake, with roasted sesame ice cream, caramelized bananas, almond cacao nib tuile ($8)

Warm Chocolate Cocotte with hazelnut gelato, sea salt and olive oil ($8)

Bar Toma

Gelato Tartufi: chocolate gelato bites dipped in dark chocolate ($4)

Filini

Cioccolatissimo: soft center chocolate cake, chestnut cream, rum raisin gelato, raisin chestnut confit ($9)

Floriole Bakery and Café

Cranberry Chocolate Spice Tart: cranberry chocolate ganache topped with cranberry gelee in a gingerbread crust ($5.75)

Fritz Pastry

Mocha Macaron made with HalfWit coffee roasters Triforce Espresso blend and dark chocolate ($1.35 each, $10 dozen)

Snickers Bread Pudding with whipped cream, chocolate and caramel ($7.95)
